Dougie, you like your expressos and regular coffees alot. I went back to my taken for granted Grind and Brew. I certainly have a renewed respect for it ; ) I only bought the DG for the specialty drinks to supplement my Grind and Brew,<-- which makes well, any regular joe I want LOL. And yummy, I'm still enjoying my African Kitamu, Pike's Peak, Verona, Cafe Estima, Kimodo Dragon, White House Blue Mountain and Kona, you name it, I got it ; ) As far as the DG goes, Nescafe is going to add more to the inventory, but I really think you will see more milk drinks and teas, before you will see any more regular coffees. I love my DG immensely for the Lattes, Caps, Mocha, Chococino, and Peach tea. I can do without the Americano, Intenso dark roast, and the Expresso solo. Even the Americano tastes awfully strong to me. I do like the Lungo. Ok that said, there are maybe more specialty drinks offered by DG than Tassimo, but Tassimo offers more regular joes. So you got to weigh all this, there's pros and cons to Tassimo and the DG, and know what you want from your brewer. Gotta tell ya, I'm loving my old Grind and Brews more and more. I did say that didn't I ; )

About the going rate for our beloved t-discs.

BTW how do they compare? I see that the DG machine is still on sale for $99, and it is mighty tempting. But I don't want to sink more money into another machine. :8}

Smg, you read it wrong. Thats for packs of 3. Meaning 3 boxes each containing 16 capsules of regular joe. So you are getting 48 capsules of coffee for $28. Not too shabby ; )

WOW.....I just looked at the 'capsule' prices on Amazon for the Dolce Gusto machine........16 pieces for 28 bucks?

R U kidding me?????????????????

1.75 per cup...........NO THANKS. Even if I was mildly interested in those weird looking machines, I aint paying that much for single serve coffee.

I'll continue to get bargains with my MH and Gevalia..........

I just had my first sip of Tassimo's Greet Tea, and I must say that I'm not impressed. The tea is not clear but a murkey light brown with a slight greenish tinge. I can't say that I'll be ordering this again. :O

Too bad because I had high expectations for this brew.

I'm still around and I'm still hoping Kraft might reconsider their policy and allow other coffee brands to jump on board ; ) I know, I know, one can only wish!
In the interim, we are still using the Tass for an occasional quick cup of joe -- African Kitamu, Verona, Voluptuoso, Nabobs, or Jacobs Kroneung. Mostly, I'm using my grind and brew for regular coffees and enjoying my Blue Mountain and Konas again. Any regular coffee I want to drink, including SBuxs, Peets, Hortons, Bad Ass, just because I CAN :-D. I'm appreciating my DG Creativa for what I bought it for; the specialty drinks!!!! Makes a real tasty Vanilla Latte, Caramel Latte, Mocha, Chococino, or Peach Tea. Sometimes I combine the Caramel or Vanilla Latte DG capsules with a DG Mocha Latte for a humongo mug full. The froth is thicker, and tastier in my opinion. DG like Tassimo has a proprietal hold on the coffees made into capsules. In regard to the specialty milk based drinks the DG has more offerings. For regular joes or plain expressos, the DG offerings are even more limited than the Tass, and if that's what you want from your brewer then the DG would not be a good choice. But I knew that going in and bought it "only" for the milk drinks and the tea & iced coffees which are excellent. I like being able to brew a hot beverage or a cold beverage, and not ending up with a watered down tea in the process or a watered down iced coffee Cap or Latte. Another DG drink will be added soon I'm told and I'm hoping its more tea. DG just added the Caramel Latte Machiatto recently, so the Nescafe company seems to be perking up some. In the interim, I'm happy ; ) I have my G&B for regular coffees in any variety I want. My DG Creativa for specialty drinks, and the Tasses for a quick cup of joe. Life is good!!! When a new coffee brewer is manufactured that can do all things justice, then I'll jump again ; )

I was wondering about this myself. I thought that Bekka said that she wrote about getting her DG and that she was pleased with it. I don't know if she'll be back.

I'm looking at the AeroPress Coffee and Espresso Maker for about $30. It's like a french press that uses filters.

On a positive note, the Green Tea that I ordered from Amazon just arrived.

I don't know what I'll do re my 'bot; but I think that before I buy anything else, want to finish what I have. It's too bad. While it's one thing that Sbux left, I still don't understand why Kraft does not simply bring to market its existing coffees to local stores.

I hope that all's well with everyone. :|
