I have to say so far I love the DG experience for specialty drinks which is what I bought it for ; ) I'll continue to use my Grind and Brew for regular coffees, and keep one of my Tassimos at home for the quick in between cups of joe. I decided I'm going to take the DG to work with me so I can enjoy those drinks throughout the day and I'll box up the Tassimo I have at work and keep it for a spare.

Ah, I meant "you" as in general. We can only get what they're willing to give for our brewers. All the news and experience I've seen and had since the fall out with Starbucks isn't promising or positive to me. Maybe "depressed" is too extreme but it's a big let down to me when the brewer itself is so nice and so capable, it deserves more than what I've tasted of G and MH. If they get their Carte Noir and Nabob line over here, it would help with my decision on whether I'm keeping the brewer. Of course, I would like to see a U.S. partnership with another premium coffee, more local availability. But at least offer up an alternative latte/cap to MH and G.

In the meantime, I've been researching other brewers, trying another brewer, all because Tassimo isn't meeting customer needs and doesn't seem to care that it's being pulled from store shelves or that stores have stopped selling its goods.

I'm not sure what you mean depressed? Have you become depressed over coffee?? And what do you mean they have me over a barrel?

Doug, I never thought I could possibly get depressed over coffee. I guess they really have you over a barrel with these pod brewers.

Fischer, I think that you're right. Kraft may very well have cooked its goose. It had plenty of opportunities. It seems that at it succeeded at dropping the ball at every chance that it had.

If it could only bring all of the Carte Noire coffees to local markets along with its 'bots. Show people what it can do and let them buy the 'bots and Carte Noire coffees. But it looks like Kraft cannot handle that type of marketing. :O

Our local -
Kohls has 1 machine & a handful of misc discs
Wal-Mart has 1 machine & ZERO discs
Target has 1 machine & a small supply of MH
Lowes has 1 machine & no discs
Kitchen Collection has literally 1 machine ($99 for the 1000) & some G discs w/ 3 SB Columbia on the shelf. They had Verona, but not anymore... :)

BBB was stocked w/ machines & G/SB coffee the last time I was there.

Doug, I have also bought and tried the DG through the same channel as Bekka had told us. I'm sorry to report that I do not like the taste of the Nescafe espresso. It has this old stale taste to me. The machine is returnable, though. If there is a way to sample a drink, I would recommend you try it first. Bekka loves it so I think tastes are subjective. But it tastes nothing like the Starbucks. I guess I like burnt beans, lol!

Fed up with Kraft, though. They could at least get the Nabob and Carte Noir line-up they have for Canada and Europe at least.

T-disc sales are going to plummet if they stick with only Gevalia and Maxwell House. No wonder the selection is skimpy everywhere I go. They've made a joke out of the Tassimo for not offering any premium coffee now.

If I get a chance to sample from a Keurig again, I will. I'm actually considering a Nespresso but I will have to sample if William Sonoma is offering some because the DG, also a Nescafe brand, did not go well at all for me.

There is also something screwy going on with stocking Tassimo and its brewers. I have also heard many other stores just won't be selling Tassimo anymore. I think Kraft has cooked its goose and it will go further down the tubes if they think Gevalia is the answer.

As far as what's happening at Kohls, I have called Kohls.com back, they have received shipment of more T-65s so they're back in stock online. None in the stores, though, as I said, they were also pulled off the shelves. Still no word if it was an actual recall, Kohls says it wasn't. Now they said it's NOT discontinued. Very weird, and I have little faith in the future of the Tassimo because of what's going on and everything else that's wrong with this company and how they handled this brewer and customer service. In the meantime, Kohls is sending me a new brewer to exchange with while I continue to mull this over and decide what I'm going to do next. I just don't think I can put up with Gevalia and Maxwell House as I'm not impressed with either of those brands coffees.

Actually Doug, my machine hasn't arrived yet :( But I did stock up on capsules while I was getting my car fixed today. There happens to be a WalMart just a half mile a way from the service center. I've had the pleasure of trying quite a few drinks at a friend's house and love the lattes, Peach Tea, Chococino, Mocha, and Dark Roast Intenso. I also picked up boxes of Vanilla Latte and Caramel Latte. Gotta rememba, there are even less drinks available for this machine than the T. However, I pulled out my Grind and brew a few months ago, just so I could imbibe in my Certified Blue Mountain, Konas, a variety of SBuxs that I have come to love, and whatever premium coffee I want to drink. I plan to sell one of my brewbots, and keep the other just in case. In regard to the DG, the brewers are not for every one. I don't plan to use it for regular premium brews, just for the drinks I mentioned above. Until either Tassimo gets on board or until another machine arrives on the market that can do it all with a focus on USA customers ; )

How's the DG? I actually was thinking of buying this long before I bought my 'bot. It was Sbux that was the deal maker; now I think that I'd wish that I bought the DG or Keurig.

WOW, Bekka! Good for you! I sure wish I was able to sample when you get your machine. I, too, would like to know where you got it for such a good price. I can understand why you jumped for it. I sure hope Nescafe makes good on their promises. They can't be as bad as Kraft on that.

I don't know what I'm doing for now. Still hemming and hawing. In the meantime, I have to use up my discs anyway.

Which model Grind and Brew do you have? The only thing is, I have limited counter space. I really liked the aspect of little clean up with the Tassimo. You HAVE to give an update when you get your new brewer. Congrats!

Well Fischer, what coffee brewer are you going to purchase? I ended up buying a brand new top of the line DG Creativa for $99 and free shipping just a half hour ago. I had to jump on that price and I lerrve their Vanilla Lattes, regular lattes, mocha, chococino, and Peach tea. Yeah I know the inventory is especially limited, but at this time I'm happily enjoying my "premium" Certified Blue Mountain, Konas, and Costa rican coffees using my grind and brew any way. I've only been using my Tassimo for caps and lattes these days. And I like the DG specialty drinks better so I bit the bullet :-x

I finally have gotten around to exchanging my brewer because of a glitch with the LCD screen saying to clean reader when it has been cleaned and repeatedly and after advisement by Tassimo customer service to exchange it.

I had purchased it at Kohls mid March and came to find tonight from them and from the service phone there to Kohls.com that they have not only discontinued carrying the T-65 but have pulled them from all stores nationally and sent them back to the manufacturer. They do not have it down as a recall, although I'm supposed to get a call back from the supervisor I spoke with online as to why they pulled them. Their explanation thus far is it was poor sales.

Now I don't know what to do. I had a Kohls cash, 30% off, plus a rebate that I have yet to send in. I thought the rebate was only for March so even if I did exchange it for a T-45, transfer my Kohls cash, plus this 30% off I currently have now, I don't know if a rebate would still be offered.

My heart wants to keep this machine because I like the brewer. My head is saying just use your discs that you have, return it and don't look back. This is again telling that Kraft has let this brewer sink to the lowest low to where Kohls is even pulling them off because people won't buy the Tassimo. The guy online asked if I wanted to exchange it for a Keurig instead. I haven't made my decision. I think I'd need to try a cup again to see if I'd like the Keurig but it's also bye-bye to caps and lattes and the lovely Chai Tea. Tassimo will probably discontinue the Chai at some point anyway like they have the other teas. At least that seems to be their trend.

I really can't believe this. Of course I had to get the one with the bells and whistles but when all is said and done, it would have cost me $55. Between this and Kraft 's delusions of grandeur that Gevalia can compete with a major coffee house brand like Starbucks makes me think it would be foolish to keep this machine as it's only going to sink lower and lower to where it really will be obsolete.

Just absolutely disgusted with the whole thing. How can Kraft let this brewer go like this???!!!!
