I was not impressed with Nabob either. I'm fairly happy with the cremas. However they are a more richer drink in a small (4 oz) cup. They are not a mug sized drink that I can simply guzzle. With a bit of half-half and sugar free vanilla or caramel syrup they have to be sipped.

Hi, again, Bekka,

My post was actually on a different thread :)

Anyway, I'll have to check out the Jacob's latte but have you tried the other Jacob's varieties?

I don't know if I'm using the right terminology, but when coffee tastes acidic to me, I mean acidic and not bitter but acidic as in kind of sour or citrus-like. The ML Crema tasted acidic to me, it actually gave me some indigestion but I don't think it's supposed to be related to the taste.

I would say Starbucks espresso is not acidic but the Cafe Verona seems to be a just a little bit acidic but still very good.

So, my tastes are more toward the bold and smooth but less sour/citrus notes (acidic?) type of coffee.

I'll look to see if you notice a difference in the Nabobs with a different package.

Fischer, the Nabobs use to be a very well rounded smooth drink, with low acidity. However, the last batch I bought tastes different than it use to. Those who have had Nabobs in my home also notice the change without me even stating my thoughts. So obviously, it isn't just me. I'm like you, I have a hard time with too much bittery acidity. I like a bold smooth coffee that goes down like velvet without a bittery aftertaste. I'm hoping this was just a bad batch of Nabobs. I'll order again, but one package only to make sure it hasn't been reformulated. Also, I found the Jacobs latte to be less acidic than the MH & G lattes. We've been asking for a good Kona or Blue Mountain for years. Tassimo would do well to bring those types of coffees on board.

Can anyone who's tried many of the available T-Disks recommend any that are similar to Starbuck's Africa Kitamu? I saw the post on TassimoDirect that they will be releasing 3 new dark roast Gevalia brands early this summer, which I do plan to try, but need something to tide me over once my supply of Kitamu runs out. Thanks for any suggestions.

I received notification today from Amazon that makes me believe the break:

> Our records indicate you have an active subscription to Starbucks House Blend, T-Discs for Tassimo Coffeemakers, 12-Count Packages (Pack of 5).

> We're writing to let you know that Starbucks House Blend, T-Discs for Tassimo Coffeemakers, 12-Count Packages (Pack of 5) is no longer part of the subscription program at Amazon.com, and no new orders associated with this subscription will be created.

> We hope you'll find a suitable replacement among our many offerings in the Subscribe & Save program.

Is this a push to Tassimo Direct, or does Amazon's note indicate what's to come?

Please quote your source of information ; ) That would be good news if true. But I'm reading SBuxs will be launching a whole new single serve coffee machine, and there has not been any agreement reached with Kraft as yet. SBux might be expanding in their own right, yet news is not espousing that it will grow with Tassimo. Might be better if Kraft gives Tassimo to SBuxs ; )

Awww NYC, many of us know about those coffees you speak of ; ) And many were available easily on Amazon, now seemingly dwindling down to subscription. Did you know there also use to be a European Variety Pack available years before at BBB and this variety pack was also available on Amazon for a time. Have you ever checked out the T-discs available in France?
Check this link out
http://www.tassimo.fr/boutique/t-discs/929
Disks that can dispense 3 cups of coffee if you would like. A new chocolate, Carte Noire galore, different Jacobs, Tea, Voluptuoso Corse... some different intensity expresso.... well quite the assortment of quality coffee and other drinks, all under "Kraft".
And to a lesser degree here are the coffees in UK
http://www.tassimo.co.uk/shop/t-discs/929
My question is, if some of these were available to the states in the past, why aren't they now. Why oh why, aren't all T-disks available to all countries equally expecially if these are all under Kraft. One of the reasons why subscription can be a pia

According to sources its because SBux wants to take back control of their own business.

Exactly. I purchased my Tassimo and was very happy with it before they offered SB's. If it does happen that SB is no longer available (although i think it might have been a rumor started by a keurig owner lol) there are other coffees that im sure people would like but have never tried cause they are unfamiliar with them or they just know the name Starbucks and automatically think its the best. Nabob and Jacobs are both excellent. And as far as competing with "all the keurig selections", who cares about 200 coffees if only a handful are good. I read all the time on another message board about how weak the coffees are and how people use the "my kcup" so they can use a brand of coffee not offered by keurig. So many flavors and yet they still need to buy another brand? Having so many coffees is overrated especially since i would guess that most people will stick to a couple of go-to brands after the novelty of trying all the flavors like pumpkin spice asparagus with a hint acai berry wears off. You need a little flavor, get some International Delights and add it to your coffee. With Tassimo it's quality over quantity. The coffee we get out of a Tassimo is like 100% pure orange juice, from the keurig you get Sunny Delight. Tassimo is a Mac and keurig is a pc.

If this is true, Tassimo must make some (if not all) of the European coffees available in the states. In my opinion, this would help to soften the blow of losing Starbucks and may just keep Tassimo from going under. Don't get me wrong, I love my Starbucks, but would be just as happy with some of the ML, CN, Nabob and Jacobs selections.

That's the big question. It seems that the only way that we'll be able to get varieties other than Gevalia and MH is to buy them by subscription from Tassimo Direct.
