If you like the Carte Noire Kenya, then you like the Carte Noire Voluptuoso. Full bodied, and a tad smoother.

BTW folks, please start adding your ratings on the Beverage varieties page.

I've promptly received my shipment of Carte Noire Kenya; did not hesitate a second to give it a try.

In my own tastebud opinion:
This wonderful cup of joe has similar characteristics as the ML Crema which is also awesome. It has some earthy and chocolaty undertones, I would venture to say even fruity. This is not marketed as a crema, but yet it delivers a nice layer of crema that lasts to the last sip.

I do not find this coffee very acidic; it is not a true bold coffee, but yet it does deliver a very smooth full bodied flavor. If you like the Verona / Kitamu or the ML Crema, you are going to enjoy this great cup of jeaux.

If you are expecting a venti size cup, be forewarned this serves about 4oz of pure caffeine Stardome!

I haven't tried this one yet, but you've convinced me to put it on my list. Thanks for your review, and welcome to the Tassimo community.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this one. I've had 3 cups of it today.

I'm working my way through all the European blends and this one will remain on my "Must Reorder" list.

I just wish it brewed a bigger cup for the morning. I like the small cup in the evening.

How funny! I received my Carte Noire Kenya with my Jacob's Monarch shipment as well...

I too was (pleasantly) surprised to see that this coffee was a crema. The quantity is enough for a 6 oz mug once cream is added. I actually have come to prefer the smaller coffees that the Tassimo produces. I don't see the benefit of just adding more water.

I couldn't agree more: the Kenya is indeed milder and sweeter than the Mastro Lorenzo Crema, which is in my opinion one of the Tassimo's finest flavors. The finish is perhaps slightly bitter, but hardly enough to prevent you from brewing another cup! The head of foam on the Kenya is perhaps the best of all the cremas I've seen: the bubbles on top are not quite as large as the Mastro Lorenzo, and sugar tends to sit for a longer period of time before sinking to the bottom. You could actually do some "foam art" if you're talented enough...

My one complaint of the Kenya is that once cream is added, the temperature is not quite hot enough. This is easily remedied by slightly warming your creamer before adding it.

Overall, this is another one of Tassimo's top specialty varieties. I highly recommend it.

I got some Kenya with my shipment of Jacob's Monarch and thought it would be a good idea to review it.

First and foremost, this is a crema. I was expecting regular coffee like the Petit Dejeuner, but what I got was more akin to Voluptuoso. Kenya isn't as strong as Voluptuoso though, so maybe it is more accessible to milder coffee drinkers.

Kenya produces that typical European small cup that most Americans probably consider a ripoff. You could always hit the manual button but I prefer not to. The Tassimo knows what its doing.

Kenya is like a milder, sweeter Mastro Lorenzo Crema Intenso. It doesn't take a lot of sugar to sweeten the taste right out of it so be careful if you try it. It is not a very acidic coffee, which I like in my morning cup of joe (or since this is a French disc, my morning cup of jeaux).

I recommend Carte Noire Kenya to anyone who likes a good crema or medium-to-bold coffee.
