I thought for sure I would like this. It's not bad, but for me, it tastes very acidic.
Now I'm wondering if the Jacobs or Carte Noire line might be better for me. I've had some good full flavored coffee in Germany and France that was just their regular brew from whatever restaurant. I don't remember it tasting acidic but it was strong. I'll try checking out the reviews for those lines.
Or perhaps I should check out other Master Lorenzo coffees like an espresso?
Would anyone know what I'm looking for?

I've discovered an awesome way to have your MLC.
I serve a shot of Bailey's French Vanilla creamer before pressing the brew button. This makes for quite a different MLC drink, as it loses a lot of the main characteristics of the Crema; however, it also brings some new ones to it making it smooth/boldish without the earthy undertones and also losing some of the crema itself. But, it is just awesome! If you like to play around with different combinations of coffee and like Capps or Lattes, you will enjoy this one very much! It will also make your small cup of MLC, closer to the standard 8oz. Varying the amount of Bailey's to just get it right to your liking. Enjoy!

The difference between the Cappuccino and the Latte are just the ratio of froth milk in them. If you look at the packaging of the SBux variations, they both have the exact same ingredients. " the difference being that a cappuccino consists of espresso and steamed milk with a 2 cm (¾ inch) layer of thick milk foam" Wikipedia Definition of Cappuccino: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cappuccino
"In a traditional cappuccino, as served in Europe and artisan coffee houses in the United States, the total of espresso and milk/froth make up between approximately 150–180 mL (5–6 imp fl oz; 5–6 US fl oz). Commercial coffee chains in the US more often serve the cappuccino as a 360 mL (13 imp fl oz; 12 US fl oz) drink or larger."
Latte: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latte Caffe Mediterraneum, a landmark café in Berkeley, California, claims to be the birthplace of the caffè latte, crediting its birth to one of the café's owners, Lino Meiorin in the late 1950s. According to a sign that is proudly displayed in the café, Lino was the first Italian-trained barista in the San Francisco Bay Area, and his Italian-style cappuccinos were apparently 2 strong for the customers. In response to his customers, he decided to add a larger, milkier cappuccino to the menu, and he called this drink the "caffè latte".[/i]"Outside Italy, a caffè latte is typically prepared in a 240 mL (8oz) glass or cup with one standard shot of espresso (either single, 30 mL, or double, 60 mL) and filled with steamed milk, with a layer of foamed milk approximately 12 mm (½ inch) thick on the top. A caffè latte may also be served consisting of strong or bold coffee (sometimes espresso) mixed with scalded milk in approximately a 1:1 ratio.[10] The drink is similar to a cappuccino"
Crema: As in the MLC, is like a middle point between an standard cup of coffee and a espresso shot; delivering a layer of 'crema on top' (foam). http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.chaosweib.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/Mastro_Lorenzo_Crema.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.chaosweib.com/2011/02/25/tassimo-kaffees-weitere-geschmackstests/&usg=__SN-VbtoEXU6pJ2XcJnQYPv3QfLM=&h=480&w=640&sz=146&hl=en&start=33&zoom=1&tbnid=535rCaC6LYAATM:&tbnh=121&tbnw=161&ei=iDx0Ta2yLsvAtgeiobT8Dg&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dmastro%2Blorenzo%2Bcrema%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG%26biw%3D1436%26bih%3D715%26gbv%3D2%26tbs%3Disch:1&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=312&oei=hDx0TfCvGMH58Aaeg_mFDw&page=2&ndsp=36&ved=1t:429,r:29,s:33&tx=94&ty=71

Ok. I am just now learning about all of the different kinds of coffees. What is the difference between a latte, cappuchino, and the crema coffees?

Amazon has it today - I just ordered some. I've never tried it, but a lot of people like it so I'l give it a try.
Oops, that's the crema that Amazon has, not the intenso...

This MLC is definitely one popular item; it sold out at amazon just 2 days after being available.
I've gone through my 1st box of ML Crema and after every cup I like more and more. One of the features I like best is the coffee/chocolaty after flavor it leaves after finishing the cup.

This is from 2009, a few posts down in this thread. I remember thinking Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaa , and of course it never happened. How come all these years the hosts can pass it upward, or can ask, but rarely come on board with an answer???

Both Mastro Lorenzo and Carte Noire make very good espressos, much better than the Gevalia in my opinion. The only problem is that you have to go through Tassimo/Gevalia to get them here in the states.

I received my MLC shipment today. I expected a bolder brew as many other reviews claimed it had. Compared to the SB's Kitamu or Verona, is on the lighter side of the spectrum.
However, it does have a very good smooth taste with high acidity but not bitter. This coffee is very similar to many of the Guatemala Antigua coffees. It goes down smooth leaving an wonderful after taste. The crema stays on top all the way until you finish your cup, Awesome!!!
This may become one of my favorites but not quite yet; it is very different than any of the SB's and Gevalia blends.

The Mastro Lorenzo is by far our favorite T disc! We've ditched all of the rest, other than the Gevalia espresso, which is just OK. Would like to see a more assertive espresso! We do also keep the decaf Gevalia around for the decaf crowd.

Not at all sure I can agree that it is the best.
First time I tried MLC I almost tossed out the rest of the package. But I've kept with, it and it has grown on me. I will probably order another when the first is gone.
It depends on the time of the day. First thing in the morning I like a strong, rich, but smooth cup. For me the MLC fails miserably, probably because of the Robusta in the blend. But after I've gotten a few hours into the day, the MLC almost serves as a poor man's espresso, and it is a lot easier to make. Just a little sugar to blunt the bite.
